GREAT ARE YOU, LORD!

CHECK OUT THIS EXCITING UPDATE REGARDING OUR BRIDGEKIDS MINISTRIES THIS SUMMER!

From Pastor Aaron

Hello church family!

As we move quickly into the summer months, I am excited to share with you some updates regarding our BridgeKids ministry and the dynamic changes our BridgeKids team will be implementing this summer.

Our primary goal remains to cultivate a Christ-centered environment where families can worship together and children can seamlessly transition into the broader church community. In Deuteronomy 6:6-7, we are reminded: "These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

Summer formatting for BridgeKids will look different this year however, than in year’s past.

This summer, we will be inviting our children, ages four and up, to join our upstairs Sunday service once a month. This will begin at the end of June and continue through August on the following dates: June 30th, July 28th, and August 25th.

Why are we making this change?

First, to provide some rest for our volunteers. Summer often brings a challenge in filling out our teacher schedules due to vacations and other commitments. Reducing the number of classrooms open, provides our dedicated volunteers a well-deserved break and another opportunity to worship with the congregation.

Second, we are a family after all! Fewer children in classrooms and fewer volunteers actually opens a beautiful opportunity for families to worship together! As Psalm 133:1 says, "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" We believe this unity extends to worshiping together as families.

Third, this new format will help ‘bridge the gap’ between our BridgeKids ministry and the main service, easing the transition as children grow and begin to participate more fully in the life of the church.

Fourth, earlier exposure to diverse leadership. By participating in the upstairs service, our children will have the chance to learn from other church leaders, experiencing different teaching styles and perspectives, thus enriching their spiritual growth.

What are the details?

Pastor Aaron and/or Pastor Josh will lead these special services. To keep our young ones engaged, we’ll also provide activity bags and handouts tailored to their age group. Our hope is that these resources will help them feel included and attentive during the service.

As we roll out these changes, we ask for your prayers and support. Let’s remember the words of Proverbs 22:6, "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." Together, we can guide our children in the way of the Lord, fostering a strong and unified church family.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. May God bless our efforts and continue to guide us in His wisdom and love.
