CORE BELIEFS

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT...

God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Revelation
God has revealed himself to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God; through the written Word - the Bible - which is without error and the final authority of faith and life; and through all of creation itself.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.
The Fall
When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who believe in Jesus for it (John 6:47). That is why salvation can be found through faith in Christ alone.
The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Resurrection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's Kingdom on earth.

WE CELEBRATE FAITH THROUGH...

Believer’s Baptism
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. It’s a public declaration of how Jesus changed your life. Being baptized shows others that you’ve decided to follow Jesus, and allows them to celebrate this decision with you (Acts 16:31-34). Because baptisms in God’s Word were done by full immersion and Jesus Himself was baptized by immersion we follow that same model. Immersion is also a beautiful picture of identifying with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection!
The Lord’s Table (Communion)
Jesus started the tradition of communion. He instructed His followers to use bread and wine to remember the sacrifice He was going to make when He died for our sins on the cross (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). We celebrate the unity Christ made possible through His death on the cross in communion every month.

WE VALUE...

Teaching that makes a difference
The Word of God should be presented in such a way that fosters life-change.
ALL people from ALL walks of life
All people matter to God, therefore, they matter to us.
Real Relationships
Our faith community should be characterized by authentic, loving and integrity-filled people.
Compassionate ministry
Our lifestyle should be marked by Christ’s example in serving and loving our neighbors.
Radical Generosity
Everything belongs to God including our time, money, and abilities. We steward these incredible blessings God has given us by using them to further His Kingdom in our communities in radically generous amounts.
Prioritizing Prayer
We can either panic or pray. God told us to pray about everything. So that’s what we’re going to do. God’s house should be known as a house of prayer.
Faith-filled Risks
Without faith it’s impossible to please God. This always involves change. We’ll pray...we’ll trust...and we’ll take risks.
Worship as a lifestyle
Our faith-community gatherings - filled with music, prayer, dancing and lessons from God’s word - serve to motivate us to do everything everyday for one purpose...to glorify God!
